Icc Men’s T20 World Cup 2022
The Malta Cricket Association has announced that the Men’s Valletta Cup T20I tournament will take place from May 10th to 15th, 2022. The tournament will be held at the Marsa Sports Club grounds and will feature Men’s teams from five European Associate nations.
Ultimate Cricketing Event
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is the ultimate cricketing event and the first of its kind. Among the 68 teams that will participate, eight will be automatic qualifiers, while the remaining 28 will enter the tournament through regional qualifying events. The eight teams that enter through regional qualifiers are the eight representatives of their regions.
Competition for Qualification
This competition is the first step in the qualification process for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2024. The tournament will be the first of two tournaments featuring a record 20 teams and will be hosted in the USA and West Indies. During the qualification process, teams from all over the world will compete in 15 pathway events.
Re-Sale Platform
Before the opening of the T20 World Cup , the ICC will launch a re-sale platform for the matches. This will allow fans to buy tickets before they are all sold out. The first match is set for 16 October, and the re-sale platform will be made available closer to the tournament.
Tickets For Face Value
Fans may resell their tickets for face value, or for free. The re-sale platform will remain open until August 16, 2022 at 11:00 CEST. Tickets that are listed on the re-sale platform cannot be used by the original ticket holder.
Warm-up fixtures
The International Cricket Council has announced the warm-up fixtures for the T20 World Cup in Australia. The tournament will take place in October and will feature games between the 16 participating teams and a host of Australian teams. Warm-up matches will be played between October 10 and 13 in Melbourne and Brisbane. First-round teams will play practice games on October 10 and 13 while Super 12 teams will play two days later in Brisbane.
Spectators Not Allowed To Watch the Warm-Up Matches
The ICC has confirmed that spectators will not be allowed to watch the warm-up matches. The first match will feature Australia vs. New Zealand. The second match will see India play New Zealand. Both teams will also be playing against South Africa. A team’s warm-up matches are vital to their preparation for the T20 World Cup.
Warm-Up Matches Fixtures
Each first-round team will play two warm-up matches. Australia will play the West Indies on October 10 and the United Arab Emirates on October 18. The four other matches will be broadcast on TV and will not be open to spectators. The T20 World Cup will kick off on October 16 in Geelong.
T20 World Cup 2022 Fixtures
Australia and New Zealand will face each other in the first-round matches of T20 World Cup 2022. The reigning champions will play India on October 17 and New Zealand on October 19. The Super 12 teams will play all four warm-up games in Brisbane on October 17 and 18. The Super 12 matches will be played between October 17 and 19 at the Brisbane Gabba.
